RETOUCHING

The terms ‘editing’ and ‘retouching’ are used quite often in the photography world, but can mean wildly different things.

Retouching is not there to recreate an idea of an image you have in your mind.
It’s there to improve representation of your product on a photo.

Portrait Retouching.

In the case of a portrait, the retoucher might mask blemishes, smooth skin and whiten teeth. They may thin the face or enhance the eyes. They may also perform actions like changing hair color or enhance the body of the model. For product photography, a retoucher might repair a damaged box. They may remove fingerprints or smooth the surface of the product. Highlights could be added to a product to create depth.
The types of edits made to an image depend on the desires of the client. Typically, an experienced retoucher will adjust an image that is in keeping with the wishes of the client. Images need to fit the company’s branding.

Basic Retouching

$39 one time fee
  • When simple editing won’t do the trick, retouching begins. For me, basic retouching means up to 10 minutes of work on an image – removing blemishes, brightening teeth, smoothing skin, or even removing an unsightly wire.

High-end retouching

$79 one time fee
  • High-quality photo retouching requires precision and attention to detail. We achieve both by combining modern tools with personal care. Our obsession with quality has motivated us to practice meticulous detail orientation in every photo.
